Shopping around is a must when looking for an online credit card to apply for. It will really upset you if you go through all the trouble of applying for a new credit card only to discover that you could have gotten a better deal elsewhere.

Your credit rating will probably be the determining factor as to whether your application is approved or declined. If you have a bad credit rating or have been blacklisted your credit card application will most likely be declined. If you have a good credit score then your application will probably be accepted. Having no credit rating is a tough one though. You may be asked to build up a credit rating by getting a clothing card at Edgars or Woolworths before being able to get a credit card.
